I have trained in various forms of massage, Traditional Chinese Medicine, tuina, resistance stretching, meridian flexibility and more.
I have always been interested in movement. Running and hiking have been a part of my life from a young age. I have completed many marathons, ultramarathons and multiday hikes. This interest kept growing and growing, eventually turning into a career.
There is plenty of information out there on certain ways to move and exercises to do, which are good for us as humans. Part of being human is moving in ways in which we evolved to become human.
My interest drifted towards the beginning of how we move, rewinding to the very moment a movement is initiated, then transitioning from movement to movement. Is there a way to arrange our muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments, bones etc, at the very initiation of movement to allow aligned, nourishing movements? Is there a way to move which generates health and stability and elasticity? Is there a way to move which calms the nervous system, then prevents further hyper-stimulation?
I think there is. It all begins at the start, then flows from there.
It is very easy to get a feel of how to create the above conditions within your self. As soon as you link into that feeling, you can keep returning to it. Conscious movements then begin to seep into our unconscious.
